Partnership Launched within Coverage of the Bundesliga – Germany’s Top Domestic Soccer League – Streaming Live for Free on Fandango

The opportunity in streaming isn’t simply to replicate the traditional television model online. It’s to create entirely new experiences for fans, advertisers, and content partners.”

NEW YORK, NY, UNITED STATES, November 5, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Transmit and Fandango today announced a strategic partnership designed to create a new model for premium sports and entertainment monetization.

With the proliferation of premium sports and entertainment on streaming platforms, this partnership aims to create new revenue opportunities while preserving the viewing experience through a new approach to monetization built specifically for streaming environments.

The partnership recently launched throughout Bundesliga coverage – Germany’s top domestic soccer league – streaming live in the U.S. on Fandango and serves as an example of how Transmit and Fandango are working together to create new revenue opportunities around premium streaming content without increasing traditional ad load. As the English-language home of the Bundesliga, USA Sports’ 300-plus Bundesliga matches throughout the 2026-27 season consist of at least 30 matches on USA Network with all other matches streaming for free on Fandango.

As opposed to relying on traditional sponsor opportunities scheduled within live programming such as breaks in play or the end of a half, Transmit incorporates its innovative technology to create sponsorship opportunities around high-attention moments as they occur throughout a match. Rather than depending on fixed schedules, Transmit identifies moments of heightened viewer engagement and enables brands to participate in the experience in non-intrusive ways to the broadcast.

The result is a new category of premium inventory designed specifically for live sports streaming, helping create incremental revenue opportunities without requiring additional commercial breaks.

“The opportunity in streaming isn’t simply to replicate the traditional television model online. It’s to create entirely new experiences for fans, advertisers, and content partners,” said Will McIntosh, President, Digital Platforms and Ventures at Versant. “Bundesliga is an exciting first example of what’s possible through our partnership with Transmit. As we continue to grow our digital platforms, we’re focused on creating experiences that deliver value for fans, advertisers, and content partners alike. This partnership helps us rethink how premium content can be monetized in a streaming-first world.”

The partnership reflects a broader shift occurring across the media industry as distributors seek more effective ways to monetize premium live content while preserving audience satisfaction. Rather than adding additional commercial interruptions, Transmit’s technology enables sponsorship experiences to be integrated directly into the live event during naturally occurring moments of fan attention.

Examples may include key match moments, substitutions, momentum shifts, official reviews, milestone achievements, and other contextual opportunities that emerge during live competition.

“Everyone understands the value of a FIFA World Cup hydration break,” said Seth Hittman, Chief Executive Officer of Transmit. “It’s one of the most effective sponsorship moments in sports because it’s part of the experience, not an interruption to it. We’re taking that same philosophy and applying it dynamically across live sports. Instead of creating value according to a schedule, we’re identifying it in real time.”
